A vegan take on the classic grilled cheese, this sandwich is great for a rainy day.
Prep- 5 minutes.
Cook- 5 minutes.
Ingredients
2 Slices of sandwich bread (I used Natures Own)
Vegan margarine
Vegan cream cheese (I use Tofutti)
2 types of shredded vegan cheese (I used Daiya because I had it on hand. I mixed mozzarella and cheddar. )
1. Soften the margarine in the microwave to make it easy to spread. Then, spread it on both sides of both slices of bread.
2. Spread cream cheese on one side.
3. Spread shredded cheese on top of cream cheese. The cream cheese helps hold the shreds in place.
4. Cook on medium heat in an oiled skillet. Use a lid to cover the sandwich and help the cheese melt. Turn over half way through and cook until both sides are golden brown.
YUMMY! Serve with tater tots or soup.
